Hello, is it possible to draw custom rectangles, lines, text etc. on the chart area?

What I want to do is overlay some part of the chart with a rectangle to highlight some area of the chart. I can add any shape to the parent of the radchart, but to position the items correctly, I need the coordinates of the lower left corner of the plotarea, or even better, the coordinates of every datapoint in the plotarea.

Is there a way to get the coordinates(margins?) of items within the radchart?

Thanks for the help.

John

Hello Johann Meyer,

Unfortunately, this is not supported in the current version of the control. It is in our plans to introduce annotations which should do the job in this scenario. This feature will be available with the next major release at the earliest.

Please, accept our sincere apologies for this inconvenience.

In which build or version will this be available ? What is the date?
I see that Telerik is always giving very vague replies like Q1, Q3 etc.

Hi jeffrey bk,

Unfortunately, this functionality will not be available in the upcoming major version of RadChart. Though it is in our plans to implement it we can not specify a time frame for it.

Please, accept out apologies for this inconvenience.

All the best,
