Hey Telerik Team,

I recently saw you didn't plan to integrate Pervasive DB as a supported backend.
Is it possible to create/register a custom backend for unsupported DbProviders for myself? Or convince an existing backend to use an other provider?

Currently, I only need read-only access to a Pervasive DB via OA ORM. I neither need write access, database schema features, nor designer support.

Regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
It is not possible to write your own provider at the moment, even if you say that you only need read access it will not work because the generated read Sql is different for all backends and the data read functionality has a lot of provider specific code.
Sorry that I cannot give you a positive answer.

Kind regards,
