Hi, I have arranged for some data to be sent from Germany, and when I looked at the data gathered in the dashboard, it seems to be named as "Europe". Is this a limitation at Eqatec, or is there a way we can break down the information of countries from Europe (e.g. by Germany, France, Italy, etc.)? Thank you. sincerely yours, Jonathan

Hi Jonathan We are using a 3rd party GeoIP database for resolving location information from IP addresses. The data that you sent from Europe originated from an IP address 192.35.17.9 which our current resolves to the location "Europe". Looking closer at this record, the IP address is registered with Siemens as ISP and without any country or city information attached. So what I think you are seeing is that you had someone from within the Siemens network send the data and from the IP address we can only resolve that to Europe since that is all the information we have (I'm guessing that all external traffic within Siemens is routed through a single outgoing IP, which is something we see from a number of larger corporations). So to answer your question, you should usually see geographical data down to the single country and even the city level. However, we rely on an external mapping datasource and there are cases where we cannot resolve this information at a high accuracy which is what you are experiencing Hope this helps Soren EQATEC Team
