Hello,
I've just discovered your product.

One of the things that I'm struggling with is copying work items from one project to another.  I can copy most of the data via Excel, but I can't copy the HTML fields between project via Excel.

Do you have a way to do this in your tool?

Hello Bruce,

Welcome to TeamPulse!  It sounds like you've discovered the ability to import and export stories.  TeamPulse does not have functionality for directly copying items from one project to another.  Can you explain the scenarios you are experiencing where such a feature would help you manage your projects?

Greetings,

I have a hundreds of stories with description and comments as Description HTML fields in one project.

I've created a new project, since the old project had the wrong name and I have to copy the stories to a new project.

I can export the stories to Excel and import them to my new project, but the descriptions, because they are HTML are read-only.

I had to manually copy and paste all of the descriptions to the new project.

I'm considering writing a C# application to do this, but wanted to know if you have a tool that would allow me to read a story in one project and copy it, including the description, to the new project.

Hi Bruce,

Just to be clear, are you talking about copying work items within TeamPulse or within TFS?  If it's within TFS then we don't have any tools that might help you.  If within TeamPulse, you can simply change the name of the original project you created to whatever you wish it to be, even after it's been created.  You can access this by clicking on the Project ribbon tab and then Project Settings.

Best wishes,
