[Solved] Control click for new tab, shift click for new window

Hi!

Is it possible to enable the functionality that ctrl+click opens the menu link in a new tab, shift+click opens in a new window? Right now the only way we have found is to duplicate the tab and then click the desired menu option, which is quite cumbersome.

Hello Victor,

 Which browser are you using? I tried this example in Google Chrome, IE9/8  - control clicking and shift clicking the Grid / First Look item worked just as you described it.

Hi,

I normally use firefox (right now v5.0) where the behaviour does not work in the example you linked (or first look)

In IE9 & Chrome 13 the linked example does indeed work, however for example in the "First Look" example the only thing that happens is that text gets selected (apart from when the menu option "and more..." is selected, then everything works as expected again).

Hi Victor,

 FireFox fails indeed for unknown reason. Probably some CSS from the menu is confusing it. Yet if you click it with the right mouse button the "Open in new window" and "Open in new tab" options work. We have to investigate that further.

 I am not sure I understand the second part of your reply. In the "First Look" example of the menu the items do not link to any url (except the "And more ..." ones). That's why I linked the site map binding example where most of the menu items do link to somewhere.

Hi again,

I see for the links in First Look, stupid of me, just assumed they would link somewhere!

Anyway, I can confirm the FF behaviour - right click and open does indeed work here as well.
