Hi,

I'm using a ContinuumTransition on RadDataBoundListBox and RadJumpList, when i'm going to "details pages".

When I'm coming back to my page with the list, the state of the list isn't the same : the first item is the item I selected (even if it was at the bottom of the screen), and I don't see the small animation on the text.

If I use the ContinuumTransition with a classic ListBox, all the transitions are working. Is there a way to have the same results with RadDataBoundListBox and RadJumpList ?

Thanks by advance.

Best regards,

Edouard

Hi Edouard,

Thanks for contacting us and for reporting this issue.

When the RadDataBoundListBox control is unloaded it recycles all realized visual containers. When the control is re-loaded it starts realizing containers from the last selected item.

I would like to inform you that we are going to update this behavior so that the control behaves exactly like the standard ListBox control from the toolbox. This update will be available in Q2 2011 Beta2, as well as in the official Q2 2011 release of RadControls for Windows Phone 7.

Do not hesitate to get back to us in case you have further questions or need assistance.

Best wishes,

Hi Deyan,

Thanks for your answer.

I was using the Q2 2011 Beta 1 because of issues with the LoopingList. But now the design of my app doen't need the LoopingList. I reverted the framework to Q1 2011, and now it's working just as with a classic ListBox : the "backward-in" continuum transition is visible.

Best regards,

Edouard

Hi Edouard,

Thanks for writing back.

The change that in RadDataBoundListBox causes the behavior you describe is introduced in Q2 2011 Beta 1. As I said, this will be updated so that the control follows the standard ListBox behavior in this scenario.
