Hello Vincent,

While we are currently working on Silverlight compatability, we do not have a solid date for when this will be part of a QA Telerik Release or as a new version of WebUI Test Studio. As soon as a beta is available, we will try to add those customers who have shown interest in the new features as part of the beta test. We appreciate your interest in WebUI Test Studio and will be sure to try to keep you informed on any updates.

If you are in need of a Silverlight testing solution right now, I would like to refer you to this link on the WebAii Framework that WebUI Test Studio is built on. The newest verion of the WebAii Framework is currently in beta testing stage and does support Silverlight testing.

Hello Vincent,

This is just a quick follow-up to my colleague's response.

Although the WebUI Test Studio for Silverlight still requires a few months of work, you can already try our WebAii Testing Framework. It covers the RadControls for Silverlight including a set of WebAii RadControls. You will also find some helpful details from the announcement on the blogs as well as from this post describing the relation between both test automation tools in details.

Hi guys,

I'm happy to share we've made some good progress with the Silverlight support in the upcoming WebUI Test Studio 2.0. We are also developing translators for both the generic and RadControls for Silverlight. I've attached a screen capture having the RadTreeView translator loaded against the control live demo here. I hope you will like the result when publicly available as well!

In the meantime, we would like to gather some feedback from those interested in automating Silverlight Web Applications with WebUI Test Studio. Please feel free to share which controls do you need to automate and even what kind of scenario would you need to cover.

Would you want to group RadGridView out-of-the-box or change the RadDocking layout by simple drag/drop action in the automation surface? Or do you need to verify RadChart bar or any other series data, check the legend content ot axis values? Do you have our RadScheduler as part of your application under test and what scenario do you think you will need to automate? Or does your application heavily rely on our navigational controls like RadTreeView, RadMenu, etc?

Share your scenarios/needs here and we will prioritize the tasks among the translators accordingly.
