Hi Maor,

We actually find the performance of the compass sample on iPhone 4S great, it runs smooth as butter in our local tests. So you're either doing something else in that app or your phone is cluttered by some other background processes, try restarting it and closing anything unrelated.

As for Android, performance is pretty subjective as it depends on the device hardware capabilities and Android version being run.

First thing that comes to mind is to try changing the Hardware Acceleration option in Properties/Android. On some devices turning it on speeds things up, but on some slows them down. You can experiment to disable Hardware Acceleration folowing these steps:
  1. Device Settings > Developer options > Force GPU rendering: (unchecked)
  2. In Icenium > Project Properties > Android > Hardware Acceleration: Off
  3. Delete application from device and redeploy

If you're fine with a bit "choppy" animation, but more responsive Android app keep Hardware Acceleration off.
