Combobox Pop-up is displayed when pressing shortcut key in a page

Good day!

I would like to inquire about possible solution(s) to my problem.

In my silverlight page called "MainPage", 

• it has a combo box with LOV
• it has a shortcut key that enables user to automatically save by pressing "CTRL+Shift+S"

Step1 : When I just select the combobox control (not clicking the arrow down), the LOV window is not shown. (which is expected)
Step 2: But when I press "CTRL Shift S" while inside the combo box, the LOV window is shown.

What can I do so that I can prevent the LOV window from popping up when I press the shortcut key, while inside the combe box?
