[Solved] Column Virtualization

I currently have a data source with about 90 columns, which causes the grid to load very slowly. Is column (i.e. horizontal) virtualization available in the latest internal build? If so, how do I enable it? If not, when do you plan to include this feature?  Thanks in advance.

Hi Vlad,

Is there any progress with this? I have a customer site with very bad performance when scrolling grids, and memory usage that eventually climbs to the gigabytes. I think its all tied up with this same problem, as each time I scroll to the bottom and top again the memory goes up.

I'm not doing horizontal scrolling by the way, its vertical scrolling that eating memory, so I'm hoping the same fix will sort me out as well.

I cant see any mention of this in the release notes for the current beta, so is it going to be in or out of the next release?

The new UI virtualization for the RadGridView will be early previewed with our Beta 2 release which is expected next week.
