[Solved] Column that stays in edit mode

Hello,
I need to implemet a custom column that would not have a view mode, but will allways be in edit mode. In another words, only the control defined in CreateCellEditElement() metod will be displayed.
Is such scenario possible with a custom column?

Hi Boris,

Why not set IsReadonly to true for this column and use only the control from CreateCellElement?

I tried to do what you suggested, but now the Binding doesn't seem to work .. this is my code inside CreateCellElement

 var cellEditElement = new CheckBox();
            cellEditElement.HorizontalAlignment = HorizontalAlignment.Center;
            cellEditElement.VerticalAlignment = VerticalAlignment.Center;

            this.BindingTarget = CheckBox.IsCheckedProperty;

            Binding valueBinding = new Binding();
            valueBinding.Mode = BindingMode.TwoWay;
            valueBinding.NotifyOnValidationError = true;
            valueBinding.ValidatesOnExceptions = true;
            valueBinding.UpdateSourceTrigger = UpdateSourceTrigger.Explicit;
            valueBinding.Path = new PropertyPath(this.DataMemberBinding.Path.Path);

            cellEditElement.SetBinding(CheckBox.IsCheckedProperty, valueBinding);
            return cellEditElement as FrameworkElement;

when I had a CreateCellEditElement() with this code, it worked, but now the checkboxes do not update properties any more :(

It seems that this line causes problems:
 

valueBinding.UpdateSourceTrigger = UpdateSourceTrigger.Explicit;

I've removed it and now it does set the values :)
