Hi there. Please excuse me if this has been asked before.

I'm trying to find a way to have text in the first column overlap ther other columns horizontally (see the attached picture for an example).

Is what I'm trying to do possible?

 Cheers,
 Steve

Hi Stephen,

You cannot do this with the RadTreeList view at this point. From the screenshot is seems that a RadGridView control with two-level grouping will be perfect for what you are trying to achieve. In fact if you play with the templates a bit you can match the exact look and feel of that screenshot.

Good luck and keep us updated on your progress. It seems as something pretty cool can come up from this.

Hmmm...I've been playing with this all day and haven't gotten anywhere close to the result I want.

How is it possible to use the columns from the parent grid in the child grid? I keep just displaying a child grid with embedded headers inside the parent grid cell.

Hello Steve,

The idea is to use single grid grouped on two levels instead hierarchical grid. You can check this demo for more info about grid grouping. If you group by Country and City you will get similar to your screenshot result.

Kind regards,
