I have defined a couple of ColumnGroupDescriptors in XAML and set the ShowColumnWhenGrouped property of the corresponding columns to false. Also I have to clear the gridview's GroupDescriptors collection in the page's OnNavigatedFrom event handler so that prevent them to be added multiple times when a user returns back to the page. With the latest hotfix (0521) I noticed a problem with removing column groups from a gridview's group panel. If I remove a column group by clicking on it's (x) button and change page and then retun back to the page and try remove the group again, the column remains hidden...
