I'd like to be able to click or double-click a node in the tree to bring it in to edit mode (similar to how the celleditingtemplates work in the grid). I tried overriding the mousedown and mouseup events but they don't seem to fire. Is there a way to accomplish this?

Hello Jarred Froman,
This is currently not possible in Silverlight2. In Silvrlight 3 the framework allows you to use handled events.
