clearing the text box

Is there anyway to stop a clear of the selectedItem from affecting the text property.

I dont mind if the user clears the text (keystrokes)
but i dont want an empty itemssource from clearing the text box if
something was originally selected

Hello David,

It is not possible to perform such an action - the SelectedItem and Text properties are coupled and changing one of them affects the other.
