Could someone explain in straightforward steps how to change the background and border colour of the selected date in the month view of the radcalendar?  I cannot for the life of me find where to change these.

Hello Stephen,

Do you mean the RadScheduler? If so, you can refer to this help article in which this is explained.
If not, could you please explain in details what are you trying to achieve?

Looking forward to your reply.

What i'm attempting to do is change the selection colour on the radcalendar - the colour that the user sees as a highlight (its light yellow in the default theme).

Hello Stephen,

To achieve that you will have to edit the template of the DatePicker with Expression Blend. Just drop a DatePicker control on the design surface, right-click it and choose from the menu Edit Template-> Edit a Copy. Then Blend will generate all the needed resources and templates. Follow the steps in order to reach the correct template to edit:
1. Click on Object->Edit Additional Styles->Edit CalendarStyle->Edit Style.
2. Then again Object->Edit Additional Styles->Edit DayButtonStyle->Edit Style.
3. After that choose again the Object menu->Edit Template->Edit Current.
4. Now, find the SelectionChrome element, right click it and choose from the menu Edit Template->Edit a Copy.
This element is a ButtonChrome control and you will have to edit its VisualStates in order to change its colour. Please refer to this KB article in which is explained how you can do that. You can also check out this forum post in which is discussed how to edit the MenuItems, but they use also the ButtonChrome control, so you might find the short video very useful.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

As i said before, i am using the silverlight radcalendar control, not a datepicker.  Can you explain how to do this on this control please?

Hi Stephen,

The steps are absolutely the same, except that only number 1 is missing, which actually is the one with which you point for editing exactly the Calendar control. Please find attached a sample project in which the above mentioned steps are performed. You can edit it to fit your requirements.

Please let us know if that help and in case you need further assistance.
