[Solved] Changing the "Add new record" text

How do I go about changing the text "Add new record" at the top of the grid to something custom, like "Create New Rule" or something similar? Am I missing something that's right in front of my face?

But localization changes text globaly. What about changing text for different views?

Hi, sorry to bring this, rather old, post back to life, but I am having the same issue as the original post.

I am having a site with multiple grids scattered all around, and my client has asked me to change some of the texts.

On a user-list, "Add new user" would be far better, than "Add new record" and "Register new server" would be a better solution on a server grid.

Altering the localization file, won't do much, because this is a global setting, not a local. Is there any way to get that to work?

You can easily use JQuery and modify the text as you like

$(".t-grid-add").text('Add New Item')
