[Solved] Cell action issue [Evidence Provided]

Since you didn't believe me I've taken SS and provided 2 sample projects with the 1st showing exactly what I had put in my edit along with slight alterations to match your sample project and the 2nd showing as far as I can tell that if I follow your code exactly to the letter it still doesn't work.

p.s. I wouldn't of had to make an exact duplicate if you didn't keep locking the topic without giving me a chance to respond.

Hello Lp1,

 The sample project you have attached is using the current official version (2011.1.315) of Telerik Extensions for ASP.NET MVC which is available to open source license holders. It indeed has a bug which manifests itself in the way described.

I have upgraded it to the latest service pack 2011.1 414 (which is available only to commercial license holders) where this bug is addressed and it the project would work as expected now. Find attached the modified project as well as a screenshot evidence. 

I guess the misunderstanding happened because I hadn't understood which version was being used until now. This is why sending a sample project is very helpful.

The only reason I didn't send another sample project was because I had made only very slight alterations which I put in the edit on my post so rather than sending the whole project when only 3 or so lines were changing I didn't expect that to be a problem.

But am I right in my understanding of your last post that what I'd like cell action to do isn't possible unless I have a commercial license?

Hi Lp1,

 In this case yes since the bug is fixed in the service pack which is not available for open source license holders. Still you can use the dll and JavaScript files which I have provided with my last attachment.

well unless I get some addition help here then I won't be able to use cellactions any time soon, also can you either merge this into my original post which you locked or unlock it so I can add this in since this would be useful info for any non-license holder in the future who encounters the same issue and it has now been proven it wasn't non-existant which also negates the reason behind it being locked.

Oh yeh and almost forgot to add that since I found an alternative solution which I know works 100% and with it being both realiable and adaptable to suit other purposes it would help if I could post it up on my original topic like what I've done on SO although that was a rushed post before I was going out so when I get round to posting on here with I'll fix that post up and edit my so with the same.
