Hello Thomas,

Everything seems to be working when we test locally our capture sample application. Our suggestion is to clone this sample app and test it directly on your device to see whether it works. If it does, you can compare the differences with your app. If it does not, we would need more information about the mobile device and OS version you're testing on.

When I load my project for the first time it works fine. But when I refresh it on Icenium Ion, i have to lock/unlock my phone to show the microphone. It's probably a problem with Ion .

Hello Thomas,

We're not able to reproduce this in our local tests on several devices. Can you try on another iOS device to ensure that it is not a specific device problem? If the problem exhibits itself on another device, then please provide us with step by step instructions how to reproduce it with the capture sample.

Have you found any workaround or fix for this?  I'm having the same issue.  Media Capture works fine the first time.  If I try a second time, it fails silently.  The UI doesn't appear.  In fact, even native alerts do not appear.  If I record once, stop, lock, unlock, then record again, it works fine.

Hello Brian,

Unfortunately, we have not been able to reproduce the issue on our side. So, if you provide exact steps to do so, we will be more than happy to assist. You can take our Capture sample as a starting point. Another option will be to give us the name of an application in your account, where the matter reproduces and we will give it a look. If you choose the second option, I recommend opening a new support ticket and sharing the sensitive information with us there.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

You can record multiple times in the same app session?  On iOS?

It's a bug in Cordova.  I fixed it by forcing it to flush its pending command queue when a command implementation completes.

Hello Brian,

I am pleased to hear that you have found a way around the issue.

Nevertheless, I tested our Capture sample app again. This time, I used three different apple devices: iPhone 5S (running iOS 7.1), iPhone 3 (running iOS 6.0) and iPod 5th Generation (running iOS 5.0.1). On all of the above devices the capture audio function worked as expected for several times without restarting the app or locking/unlocking the device.

Hi Tatiana,

As we are still unable to reproduce the matter on our side, I will kindly ask you to provide a sample that demonstrates the faulty behavior. Such, will allow us to investigate what is causing the issue. You should be able to attach an archived copy of an AppBuilder sample project to your reply. Also, please share the exact device (model and OS version) and deployment procedure (how do you build and then deploy the application) you are following. Thank you for the help in advance. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
