When I open the telerik control panel I receive a message that an update is available.  When I click OK it downloads the new version and a windows installer dialog opens asking for the location of Telerik.CommonInstaller.ControlPanel.msi.  It is looking in my AppData\Local\Temp folder inside a folder with a GUID (5d5a7147-bbf6-4f67-9bca-61f90e338804) for the name.  This folder does not exist ( I may have deleted it).  It cannot upgrade until the older version is removed.  When I use Programs and Features to uninstall it gives me the same problem.

Hello Craig,

Thank you for contacting us.

It seems that the upgrade of Telerik Control Panel fails due to missing previous version installer of Telerik Control Panel. To solve the issue you will need the msi installer used for installing the previous version. Could you check the exact version of the currently installer Telerik Control Panel at Programs and Features? If the version is 13.1.425.0, you could find it attached. Unzip it, right click it and choose Uninstall. This should help uninstalling the older version, so you could try again to install the latest version.

Let me know if that helps.

Thank you.  I had moved all of the files in C:\Windows\Installer to an external drive to free up space.  I put them back and that fixed the problem.

I'm having the same issue, but I removed my old .msi file for version 13.2.710.0, as I think it was placed in my user's temporary folder. Where can I get msi file for that version? Or is there a way to wipe it out manually for a fresh install?

Thanks,
Tim

Never mind. I found the control panel registry uninstall key and deleted it, so it all worked.
