Using the grid in my app works fine. I can sort by columns clicking on the header of the column. But I can't see the up or down arrow like in your examples.
I've a MVC 3 razor app with the css files (telerik.common.min, telerik.default.min, telerik.telerik.min) in the Content directory and the images in a subdirectory of Content called Images. The necessary image sprite.png is in the image directory.
Anything wrong with my installation?

Without a sample project I can't be sure where the problem comes from but I can suggest you to move the sprite png image containing the arrow icons used by the Grid like shown in the attached image (according to your theme).
