Hi Harold,

Is it possible that something went wrong during the installation of the r.a.d.editor Web Part? Please make sure you have set up the required permissions properly as this is one of the common mistakes.

Any additional information will also be helpful in diagnosing and solving your problem. Is the Web Part installed globally (in the GAC) or locally in the virtual folder? Are you using SPS or WSS only? If it is WSS only, is it hosted on .NET 1.x or .NET 2.0?

I have just downloaded the RTM version and installed following the instructions on moving from the old version to the new version and am still getting an error when trying to edit as well. I have yet to get this working on any version (beta, RC or RTM) of the updates r.a.d. Editor control with WSS v3.

Am I doing something wrong during the installation? Needless to say I am a littel frustrated at this point and simply want to upgrade this control and be able to edit content.

Any ideas, thoughts?

I thought I had installed it globally so I did not need to edit the permissions. Anyway I walked through the permissions settings and that fixed the initial problem but now I have another one.

After I click on modify webpart and then I click on "edit Content" I get the error messag below.

I am running WSS with .net 2.0.
