I can open the silverlight help but as soon as I click any node on the left, I get

"Microsoft Document Explorer has encountered a problem"

Hi Happy,

Could you please go to Documentation folder in our installation and check if the files are there. Then start the UnregisterHelp.bat then RegisterHelp.bat and try to start the help again. Also can you open other then Telerik help in Microsoft Document Explorer as there is a chance that the installation of Document Explorer is corrupted in some way?

Sincerely yours,

I have a RadControls for Silverlight Q3 2009 SP1\Documentation folder that has a lot of files in so I assume I have all the files. Those bat files were in there so I did as you suggested but I still get the same error.

I am able to open and use help for the asp.net AJAX

Hi Happy,

We had a problem with SP1 Help. The path in the Start Menu shortcut is wrong and it points to Microsoft Document Explorer 8 and it should be 9. You should go to properties of the Documentation shortcut and change the target path from "Help 8" to "Help 9". Another way is just to start ViewHelp.bat from the documentation folder.

This should fix the problem. Sorry for the caused inconvenience. This was fixed in later releases.
