Hi,

I installed the WebUI test studio and am a bit confused.  Is this product compatible with Visual Studio Professional 2008 SP1?  When I create a new test project, I right click on the test project and click "Add New Test".  The only templates that show up are "Ordered Test", "Unit Test" and "Unit Test Wizard".

Do I have to have the Team version of Visual Studio for this to work?

Hi Kurt,

WebUI should work with your version of VS. The installation should also add some templates in the 'New Item' option. Just to verifiy if the install added them successfully, are there any templates that contain 'WebAii' in the default menu that appears after selecting 'New Item'? Are there any templates in the same window under 'Test' -> 'WebAii'?

Could you also post your OS specs, if your running the istallation on a virtual machine, and any info about other VS plugins you have installed?

All the best,

Nelson,

If I go to "Add New Item" and select "Test" it displays MbUnit, WebAii NUnit Test, WebAii VsUnit Test and xUnit.  Even after adding any of these the interface of VS doesn't change like in your videos, it just opens a web browser and closes.

Computer Specs:
Windows XP SP3
ASP.Net 3.5
VS 2008 SP1

VS 2008 Plugins:
Telerik Reporting
Telerik
ANTS 4

Thanks,
Nick

Hello again Kurt,

I think there may have been alittle confusion from the download page. Did you click on the 'Free Download' link on this page? Once logged on, you would be directed to the download page for the free WebAii Testing Framework described here, which seems to be currently installed on your machine.

I believe you wanted the WebUI Test Studio trial that you can download from this page. From the log on screen, you can find the 'Telerik WebUI Test Studio' link near the bottom of the page.

Once installed, you would see 'WebAii Automation Design Canvas 1.1' on the VS start up page and in the 'Help' -> 'About Microsoft Visual Studio' menu.

Sorry about any confusion,

Hmm, can't remember where I downloaded it from.  I'll try this link and see if it works out.

Thanks!
