While I am in testing phase with my project I would like to be able to test my application on various devices that I have. For the phones I have it is not a problem, I can connect them to my PC and build to the device.

However, I also have a tablet which I can't connect to my PC. I would like to take the APK, put it on a SD card and use that SD card in the tablet to install it with an APK installer.

Is this possible?

1. What is the reason that you cannot connect your tablet to your PC?

2. You can use Icenium Mist to download and install an APK file.

Open your project with Icenium Mist. Click  "Run > On Device", select "Android" from the drop-down menu. Click "Build" and you should get an APK as long as you do not get any build errors.
After you have installed it on your tablet, clicking "Options" will update your app to the latest changes.

I hope this helps,

Answers:

1. The tablet was a very cheap one (bought form a toy store)  which is not recognized by my PC. Other people (with more knowledge about this have tried to no avail)

2. Going to try that tonight and report back!

Thanks for the answers.
