I am using Fiddler Everywhere on Windows. I upgraded to version 1.2.1-insiders earlier today and I can no longer login. I get the "Cannot read property 'split' of undefined" as well.

I forgot to mention that I am not using the Google authentication, I am simply using username + password.

By the way, the most frustrating part of this issue is that it's preventing me from using Fiddler at all because you can't use Fiddler Everywhere without logging in despite the fact that I am simply trying to inspect local traffic. I don't want to to use the online features like sharing sessions, etc.

Why am I forced to log in and why can't I use the tool if logging in is unsuccessful? I am seriously considering ditching Fiddler Everywhere and going back to good-old Fiddler 4.

I have the same issue. I use Fiddler on my VM VirtualBox with Win10. I have Win10 also on my hardware. If I try to login or get forgotten password, it is loading for ages and then the flash with "Cannot read property 'split' or undefined"  text is visible.

Same issue here, and can't even sign in to the UI on the Fiddler site either so it must be something got broken on the backend. Agree with the frustration of just trying to do some local inspection while working on an API and I'm locked out

I'm getting the same message when I login via "Fiddler Everywhere" program.

And when I try to login in "https://dashboard.getfiddler.com/login", I get "Network Error" message.

Hi everyone,

Currently AWS has issues in the us-east region, where our cloud services are located. This causes the issue with the login that you've all faced and the error message is directly from the amplify SDK.
We are sorry for the inconvenience and we are looking for a way to workaround the issue and hopefully AWS will resolve it on their side as well. Note that the problem has caused even issues for them when trying to update the health dashboard page and it does not show correct information which services are down: https://status.aws.amazon.com/

Hopefully we'll be able to get this one resolved soon and the services will get back to normal operations.

Thank you for the update, but I think this situation underscores the need to be able to use Fiddler Everywhere even if logging in does not succeeded.

Hi all,

The login issue seems to be resolved now, we've not noticed issues for the last couple of hours. We will continue monitoring the situation and considering different options for preventing this situation in the future. As Jericho mentioned, the ability to use to product in such cases is really important, so we are evaluating different options how to achieve this.

Thank you all for your patience and feedback.
