  1. Ok,  whatever methodology our PM picked for this project screwed me up a bit...so I guess I should have changed the bug status from New->Approved->Committed->Done.  However I was just going to New->Removed when I completed them...is there a way to revert those back to be "Done"?
  2. Referencing #1...how can I filter the list to only show New\Approved bugs (open bugs)?

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,

1) Status transitions are dependent upon the project template, and in some cases it is possible to end up in a dead-end state (for example the Task work item type in the default Scrum template will get stuck in Removed). You can view the allowed transitions for bugs by selecting Project Settings from the Settings ribbon in the Silverlight client, then clicking the Edit Advanced Settings link. Inside the displayed XML you'll want to look for an EntityDefinition tag with an EntityTypeName="Bug", and underneath that you'll want to zero in on the Transitions section. From here you can add a necessary transition entry from "Removed" to "Done".

2) I'm not sure which list you are referring to with this request. If you are referring to the View Bugs main grid, you can filter it by using the Filter By Status filter section on the right hand side of the screen, or you can also use the small 'funnel' icon on the grid column itself to choose which statuses you want to see.

All the best,
