[Solved] bug in RTL grid filtering menu

Dear Teleriks,
When I set the grid to RTL mode, The filter menu not opens in the related column. It opens in the next adjacent column which a little is misleading.

Hi Mahmoud,

By design the filter menu aligns to the filtering button, because the idea is that the user eyes are focused at that point and start reading from there. As a result, both in RTL and LTR mode the filtering menu appears mostly over the next column, but we believe this is the correct behavior.

If you have contrary observations, please send some screenshots for further consideration. For example, how is the system context menu positioned in a Windows computer with an RTL regional settings when you right-click on the screen?

I checked the both RTL and LTR modes again and take a snapshot to show the exact difference. please check the attached file.

Hello Mahmoud,

The discrepancy that you have shown, has already been fixed. Changes will take effect in the next release and internal build of our MVC extensions.

Hello Avi,

3.5.50927 is not a valid version number for Telerik MVC extensions. I am not sure what is that.

Anyway, the discussed problem is fixed in the current official release (Q3 2011). You can verify this at:

I am using 2011 Q3 but the problem  presists when the grid header/footer are not fixed and the scrollbar is not visible.
