Blend 3 cannot create control template

Hi

Im using the latest SL3 internal build and trying to create a control template in blend 3 in the normal way. Unfortunately the "Edit template | Edit a copy" option is greyed out only 'create empty' is available.

Any ideas?

Hi Brian,

I was not able to reproduce the issue. Please make sure you have downloaded the latest binaries (2009.2. 701). I am attaching a sample project that I created using the steps you mentioned. Have a look at it and if you encounter any problems, let us know.

Thanks for your reply, I found it was because the mediaplayer control was inside a popup control. I guess there might be a blend bug causing that.

Hi Brian,

The reason is that the PopUp is closed by default and children have no templates applied.

What you want to do is select the PopUp and set the "IsOpen" property to True. You'll then be able to edit a copy of RadMediaPlayer's ControlTemplate.

Give it a try and let me know how it works for you.
