[Solved] Benefit of Telerik MVC?

I have been trying to get the Telerik MVC controls to work for a new web application and so far I am not seeing a huge benefit with the controls.   It has made my loading of the project much slower and it does not work well with Razor.  Is there another set of reasons I should use the controls that I don't understand?

I am not trying to be super critical or hating on the controls, I am just trying to understand the value add.
