Guys

any plans to add annotation controls to the editor

Would just like to be able to draw lines and add text

Any chance of an example of how i might achieve this with the current control?

Hello Cameron Molyneux,

The TextTool has not been released yet, but it will be included in the upcoming Q3 Beta, which is due in about 10 days. It will allow adding text over the image, but drawing lines will not be part of its functionality.

Hello Cameron Molyneux,

Actually, the DrawTextTool has been included in the latest internal build, which you can download from your account. You can see how it works and if it fits your requirements.
It should be declared in a new ImageToolItem, similalry to the way the other tools are declared.
Could you elaborate what other annotation tools you would like to see in RadImageEditor?

we are trying to achive something like the atlassoft annotation control (http://webapps.atalasoft.com/silverlightdemo/)

to start with we would like to be able to add TextBlocks to the image and also a 'callout' box were we can point to a place on the image .. drag a line with a textblock at the end and enter some text into it

Hi Cameron Molyneux,

Thank you for the follow up and the valuable feedback. We will consider the implementation of a similar feature in the future.
However, if the feature is decided upon, it would be implemented as a raster solution, i.e. once an object is inserted and customized (resized, its position is adjusted, text is entered etc), it will not be possible to modify it further. It will work more like Paint.Net and not the tool you have added as a reference.
