Bar Chart Labels and Columns not lining up

I have a bar chart but I cannot get the labels to center under the bars.   I have tried every option like:

BarChart1.DefaultView.ChartArea.AxisX.LayoutMode = AxisLayoutMode.Between;

What can I do??  Please see the attached file...it shows what I am dealing with.
