[Solved] Autogenerate Columns Header Whitespace

Hi, I'm autogenerating columns for my grid using a DataTable.  However, I noticed an error in my javascript debug console. 

missing ; before statement

return data.XXXX XXXXXX;

Seems like I can't have column-headers for my DataTable with whitespaces in them.  I know that telerik says 'Column titles are inferred from the property name using pascal-case splitting - for example if the property name is CustomerID the inferred column title will be"Customer ID", however if the spaces are already there, it seems to generate this error (Getting rid of the whitespace/replacing them fixes the issue - though I haven't noticed anything on the page breaking).

Is this by design or is this an oversight?

Hi Kuangyi,

Indeed, having spaces in the property names are not supported. The statement form the documentation to which you are referring to is about the column titles thus are not directly related to the data access.
