AutoCompleteView does not work on Android 4.2.2

AutoCompleteView does not seem to trigger the SuggestionItemSelected event. It shows the SuggestionView but selecting the value does not do anything. It works fine Android 8.1 but not on 4.2.2

Hi Urmila,

We have this issue logged on our Feedback portal and you could follow the item to receive notifications on status changes on the provided link: AutoCompleteView: [Android] Suggestion could not be selected on some Android devices. 

Currently there isn't a feasible workaround I could suggest.
