Hi, I would like to make a suggestion regarding the "user-rating" system in the telerik forum.
(note: I'm not exactly sure about how the rating system works, so this post just contains my assumptions)
Currently it seems, that based on the forum-activity during one month, everyone is assigned a status (depicted by the icon next to the user name in the forum posts). Also, the user having written the most postsduring the last month, is "awarded" the "most active community member" (whether the posts were helpful or not).
While this is not that bad, I think, an improved rating system would be much more informative and also more rewarding for each participating user. My suggestion (or whish) would be, that telerik implements a rating system similar to the one used on forums.asp.net (see http://www.asp.net/resources/community-recognition/default.aspx?tabid=41 for more information).
Some ideas how the telerik community-recognition system could work:
Best regards,
Martin

Some ideas how the telerik community-recognition system could work:
- users can mark a post as the solution for the initial question (which results in more (community-)points assigned to the poster)
- users which have created a lot of posts which were marked as the anwser or as being helpful, are rewarded with some telerik-points.
Best regards,
Martin
