In the Q3, 2010 release, are areas better supported (via standard routedata "area" key) in sitemaps?
Iam using Sharp Arch with its areas support and this is the main reason I've stayed away till now from your Menu component (in the very similar way are areas supported with MVC2)

Please check the attached the solution it is using sitemap binding with menu which consits area. Do let me you have any issue.
