Hello Haitham,

Arabic support is not in our feature list for the Q1 version.

However, there are some cases that  Arabic is displayed well. In fact, if the pdf is created by Word, it should be displayed correctly in the version that will be released with 2012 Q1. So if you have control over the way the pdf is created, you can easily create file that will be displayed well in the RadPdfViewer.

Hello Haitham,

The problem is that in order to be able to layout the text correctly, information about the font must be included in the file. There are two ways of embedding information about the fonts in a PDF file - through metadata and in a font file.

We have implemented import of the metadata and this is sufficient for the proper layout of Arabic text in most cases. Import of the font file is currently not scheduled, so I cannot offer a certain time frame if and when it will be implemented.

Our tests show that the PdfViewer opens most files created in Microsoft Word correctly because the information of the fonts gets embedded in the file in a way that the PdfViewer can read. If you are using some other software to export PDF files, you can test the import and estimate if the capabilities of the control are sufficient for your project.

All the best,

hi. when i used acrobat prof arabic worked fine before i was using PDF primo ( free ) and it was giving me like separate character, also make sure 2 change the PDF file build action to be resources. PDF properties --> build action change it from none to Resources and it will work fine.
