I've tried the draw9patch utility and http://android-ui-utils.googlecode.com/hg/asset-studio/dist/nine-patches.html . The Android draw9patch seems to work, I get a valid looking splashscreen.9.png with the tool. The stretch regions are correct in the interface. I've tried just loading that file up in the Mist interface -- it still looks stretched. I've also tried exporting project and adding files to App_Resources/Android ... no dice. I just copied the nine patch image to each drawable folder as splashscreen.9.png. What is the recommended approach?

Hi, I use it to create my splashscreen : http://draw9patch.com/#url=http://draw9patch.com/image/btn.png&top[]=25&top[]=50&right[]=25&right[]=50&bottom[]=25&bottom[]=50&left[]=25&left[]=50

You drag and drop your png picture and adapt the black lines
