I'm trying to install the "Telerik Control Panel" (TelerikControlPanelSetup_2012_2_1012) and get the following warning:
Install Message
Warning 1910.Could not remove Shortcut RadControls for Silverlight Q1 2012 Demos.lnk. Verify that the shortcut file exists and that you can access it.
The install will just NOT continue, it stops, only option is to cancel.
Why would a missing .lnk file (for Demos no less) STOP my ability to install the control panel??? This makes absolutely NO SENSE at all. So what if the .lnk file is missing, it's NOT critical to the install process and the installer should be able to create what it needs so who cares if it can't remove a .lnk file?
I don't know what the heck is going on with Telerik as of late, but I'm sorry your company is really dropping the ball. Untested releases of RadControls for SL, Control Panel install failures, poorly designed web site layout, out dated documentation, and more.
I was hoping things would improve at Telerik, but they seem to be spiraling down and out of control. What happened?? You ladies/gents used to be pretty good about Quality Assurance, now it's like you've bypassed the QA process completely.
