There are a lot of threads similar to this:

http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/thread/b311D-tkdec.aspx

Images are often more useful than huge descriptions and will often spare many roundtrips of communication and kilobytes of text (and hours of time) for both telerik and us, developers. So I believe they should be allowed in public forum threads (at least .gif / jpg and png).

Hello Michael,

For the time being we are not planning to implement such functionality in our forums since that involves a number of security issues, mostly regarding the content being uploaded. However, if we see growing interest for such a feature in the community we'll consider adding it.

Sincerely yours,

You can already limit the file types that can be uploaded.

You have to be a Community member to be abllowed to post here anyway.

A quick addition to the T&Cs for member to warn them of the consequences for uploading 'unsuitable' material should be enough, I would have thought. You can always pull anything you want if someone ignores the T&Cs and bounce the offending member.

I think that there is a lot of value in the idea and it would (potentially) reduce the number of support tickets that had to be raised.

Hi Stuart,

As already mentioned we'll consider adding this feature. Still, we'll need to make sure we take care of all security issues beforehand. Thank you for the feedback. In case we decide to allow upload of pictures we'll certainly add a clause to the T&C as you suggest.

Best wishes,
