[Solved] Ajax Hierarchy

Hello,

I am trying to implement the Ajax Hierarchy in project.
I don't want 3 layer hierarchy. I want only 2 layer hierarchy.
Not firing any ajax event and reder child grid.
I am sending project as attachment.

I have added the script and content in my project, but still not showing second grid?
Please can elaborate mistake in this project related to grid bind and model structure
When event("_EmployeesHierarchyAjax") will call the method?

DataBinding(dataBinding => dataBinding.Ajax()

.Select("_EmployeesHierarchyAjax", "Grid"))

Hello Venkitachalam,

1. If you want only Ajax binding you need to bind your grid with this line of code:

Html.Telerik().Grid<EmployeeViewModel>()

instead of

Html.Telerik().Grid(Model)

2. The Select method works with (actionName, controllerName). In your case you need to add Select("_EmployeesHierarchyAjax", "Home"):

.DataBinding(dataBinding => dataBinding.Ajax()
          .Select("_EmployeesHierarchyAjax", "Home"))

instead of Select("_EmployeesHierarchyAjax", "Grid") because we don't have a grid controller:

.DataBinding(dataBinding => dataBinding.Ajax()
        .Select("_EmployeesHierarchyAjax", "Grid"))

The other mistakes that you make are relevant to the formatting of the grid. You can try to add a grid first and then you can try to add second grid with:

.DetailView(details => details.ClientTemplate(//second grid here))

I have attached a sample project how to do that.
