I'm currently using MvcContrib and was able to override my GridRenderer such that I could intercept the header construction and upon completion--but before relinquishing control--I could inject an additional row of data. In our app this happens to be a summary header with subtotals for the page & grandTotals.
I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this with teleriks mvc grid.

I guess you can use header templates. The will be officially released with the Q3 2010 release which is due in mid November. We just shipped its beta though. You can check it out to see if this would suffice.

I AM working with q3 beta, but the header templates only give me cell control, whereas I need control of an entire new row in the header.
