Account limitation: no. of installations or no. of unique devices?

Dear Team,

In our Telerik Platform account, the starter pack for Analytics  mentions - 100 unique devices per month. Where as I got the mail saying "Accepted 161 installations, limit is 100.

". Request your clarification:

1. Are you limiting the Starter pack to - 100 Unique Devices (in which case we have hardly tested on about 14-16 unique devices).. or is the limit placed on No. of installations? Please clarify.

2. From our account, under subscription option, we are not able to buy the upgrade small pack on monthly subscription it displays only the annual subscription, can you please enable the monthly subscription.

Hello Anup,

The client libraries that you have integrated in your app, store an identifier in the local storage accessible to the app, that is used to correlate session of the same user/device. This is what we track as a unique device. Of course if that storage is cleared, a new device is registered. 

For example in the case of a web application, the javascript monitor stores an identifier in a cookie. If you were to use another browser, or clear the cookie from the same browser a new cookie (and in turn a device) would be registered.
