I followed the example located here - http://docs.icenium.com/sample-apps/sample-file

The example works fine in - I am able to write, read, and delete files on my iPad through the Ion app.  However, when I plug my iPad into my computer over USB, all I can see are the images.  Is this correct?  Is it possible to access files you create through Windows Explorer?

Thanks,
Steve

Hello Steve,

Your observation is expected as when you use ION to deploy your app to the device, it is being run inside the Ion container where the files of the application and the application itself are sand-boxed. This means that you'll only be able to see a slice of the file system that's isolated to your application, for more info refer to this article.
