Hi Telerik,
I have been develop project with telerik silverlight( SL3,SL4,SL5 ver.) for 4 years.
The program is running successfully since a year.
Silverlight support will not continue after 2021.
Do you have a preparation for this situation?
or have any suggestions?
Now I am reading scenarios of how the transition to HTML5.
Have suggestions for Html5 converter from Silverlight.
Can we convert to ASP.NET AJAX.
How would you advise us to continue.
Best regards,
Mehmet Bingol

We are dedicated to support Silverlight until there is a straightforward support in at least one of the most popular browsers for it. You can also find the following blog posts:
Silverlight: Silverlight 5 is out. What does this mean to me?
Silverlight is dead. F****** dead
and section: What's coming up for Q2 2015.
We are also researching for a proper way for converting XAML to HTML and once we have an official statement we will publish a blog post with more specific information.

Dimitrina,
I very interested in your upcoming blog post on this subject.
Hi,
What do you think?
Hello,
I asked about the future of silverlight in May 07, 2015.
We have been develop project with telerik silverlight for 6 years.
The program is running successfully since for 2 years.
Unfortunately, Silverlight support will not continue after 2021.
Two years passed. What is the status of the current Telerik Silverlight?
Do you have any work on this issue? or Do you have any new suggestions for other platforms?
I look forward to your valuable ideas in this regard.
Best,
Mehmet Bingol
Currently, we are maintaining the product and we are addressing critical issues in it, so our customers can continue using it flawlessly. We even add some features in it. For reference, please see the product release notes.
As to alternative, you can have a look at the following company, which is offering aid when migrating Silverlight applications to HTML5. Moreover, they also support our legendary Kendo UI toolkit. \
I hope that you find this information useful.

My company has also been using the Telerik Silverlight controls for many years and have loved it. We very much appreciate that Telerik is still committed to Silverlight even though many of our other vendors have stopped putting resources into it.
Over the past year, we've worked on adding a WPF version of our application in anticipation for the day when Silverlight is completely dead. We are looking at what the next few years might hold and I have no doubt that Telerik will continue to offer bug fixes as well as new features for some time, but is there any information on what Telerik will do with the Telerik controls when Microsoft's support for Silverlight ends in 2021? We figure our app will still be quite usable even when Silverlight goes out of official MS support but if Telerik also stops offering updates to the SL controls, that could make SL a much less viable option for us. We depend on the regular updates quite a bit.
I know it's probably hard to make any promises...especially for something years down the road, but any information would help us plan. Thanks!
I am happy to hear everything is going well with your Silverlight project. We are committed to continuing supporting Silverlight for as long as our customers need it. At the same time, we see a continuous drop in its usage and I expect once the user base becomes small, it will not make sense to continue investing in this product. At this point, I am unsure whether it will be before or after the official end-of-life of the technology.
Once Microsoft ceases support for Silverlight, I doubt there will be many ways to continue using your Silverlight app. Even today, there are only a few browsers supporting it, so it is great that you guys started porting it to WPF.
If for some reason you would need to continue using your Silverlight app, our licenses are perpetual and you will be able to continue using it for as long as you need, but no further features and improvements will be added to the suite.
I hope that you find this information useful.
Regards,
Stefan
