I find that when I press Alt-Enter and the window of choices pops up and the mouse cursor is located within the bounds of the menu, the wrong item is selected. This causes me to constantly select the wrong choice (the first choice is normally the one I want) and slows down the speed that I can quickly refactor and develop an app....

It would be great if you could display the context menu while disregarding the position of the mouse above it.

TIA

Hi Christopher,

This behavior is intended to be that way, as the menu that pops up is anchored to a specific position (the beginning of the marker, showing the error) and we want the mouse cursor to change the selection once you hover with it over the menu. We'll give it some more thought though, now that you mention it and we'll try to improve that behavior. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.

I understand the intended behavior - but the reality, as I use Just Code all day, is that I am constantly selecting the wrong one. I really have no intention of even touching my mouse while I am coding.

Hi,

We've given some thought to that behavior recently, and, let me tell you, we're on the same track with you on that one. We've started implementing improvements in that direction there which are now working for the Visual Aid menu. So, with our next major release you'll be able to invoke the Ctrl+` Visual Aid menu and the mouse pointer will not move the selection of the menu items from its initial position. We'd very much appreciate it if you give that functionality a try, once it's out.
Unfortunately, this is still not available for the popup menus (Alt+Enter, and the likes). We're still working on improving the popups, so stay tuned for updates.
