Mark as Answer

I would like to suggest allowing a user to mark their own reply as an answer.

I have many posts where I have figured out the solution myself and posted the solution. However, I cannot mark that solution as the answer. I think many people may be missing good answers because the user looks for posts where an answer has been marked.

I'll vote for this request as well.
See the exchanges in this forum thread where I include other forum suggestions.
The MVP there suggests we can close a thread, mark our own answers, etc, but I don't see these options.

EDIT: I was incorrect, there is a "Mark as Answer" link in thread postings.
