I keep getting prompted that there is a new version of the Telerik controls but when I click to upgrade VS, it fails to login.
I am using the same ID I used for logging into the forum. Is this upgrade for commercial customers only?
We will become a commercial customer today or tomorrow but let me know why I cant upgrade.

You are correct in your presumption that the notifications in our current version concern only our commercial customers.
I am glad to let you know, we are working on making our Visual Studio Extensions fully functional for open-source customers.
Starting with our next official release, the notifications you mention will be improved in regards to open-source updates.
