Hi,

Are OpenOffice dictionaries supported in the Silverlight spell checker or is this just supported in the ASP.NET version?

Regards

Hi Fredrik Kvaal,

Currently only .TDF files are supported in RadDictionary. More information on this, including how such files can be created from plain text is available here.
When it comes to OpenOffice dictionaries, we have considered extending the language support in that direction, but we haven't scheduled a date that the feature will be implemented.

There is a PITS issues which you can use to track our development plans on this matter.
PITS Issue ID: 4162

Ok . Thanks for letting me know.

We would really like to see support for open office dictionaries.

A plain lookup in a dictionary is in most cases far from enough as it does not pick up the different variations of words as you do with the affix functionality (*.aff files) used in OpenOffice.

A vote has been added to the PITS issue :)
