Hi,
We are using Licensed version of WebUI_TestStudio_Developer_2010_2_830_Dev on a machine with Win7/ Visual Studio2010, When we try to record the test using Visual Studio 2010, Web UI Test studio display the error with Time out information and we are not able to record any test. This error is displayed when browser is launched and browser does not display the recording surface.
Please find the attached screen shot for more information.

Hello Cheluvambike,
it seems to me that you attached the wrong screenshot. The window seen in the currently-attached window is definitely not a part of Test Studio.
Please check out this article:
http://www.telerik.com/automated-testing-tools/support/kb/unable-to-launch-recorder.aspx
It offers solutions to the most common issue related to starting the Recorder.
Hope to hear from you soon!

Hello Cheluvambike,
first off: please go ahead and upgrade to the Latest Internal Build, you can download it here:
http://www.telerik.com/downloads/nightbuildfiles/bcah/Telerik.WebUI.TestStudio.QA.2010.3.1607_Trial.msi
On the article: even though the screenshots are from QA edition, the solutions provided in the article are applicable for both QA and Dev editions. In particular I would like you to try running IE with all add-ons disabled as seen in the Temporarily disable all Internet Explorer add-ons section of the article:
http://www.telerik.com/automated-testing-tools/support/kb/unable-to-launch-recorder.aspx
Some IE add-ons are know to cause similar issues. We can rule this out by running IE with all add-ons disabled.
Hope to hear from you soon.
